Naomi holds a 5* dog boarding licence with Guildford Borough Council, she is also an accredited dog behaviourist. Your dog will live in her home while receiving daily training.

We address everything from basic manners to complex behavioural challenges, teaching your dog essential skills to improve their behaviour and giving you the knowledge and confidence to continue their training progression.

*In-person handover sessions take place locally to Guildford or Aldershot areas. However, we often board-and-train dogs from all parts of London.

If you live in London, we can discuss a collect and return service with handover lesson included (additional costs for travel may apply).

Yes, we only accept dogs who weigh under 35kg for board-and-train. We also don't accept puppies aged under 5 months old due to licencing requirements. See our one-to-one options instead: https://www.houndspot.com/dog-training-surrey or https://www.houndspot.com/puppy-training-surrey

We ask that dogs who attend board-and-train are calm and happy when left alone for up for 2 hours. If you're unsure whether your dog will settle in a new home environment, we offer a 3-day trial stay option before booking the full programme.

We can work on almost anything in board-and-train so please message us or book a call to discuss your needs in more detail.

However, we can't accept dogs who suffer from separation anxiety. Home boarding is often not beneficial for these dogs so we prefer to work on this in one-to-one sessions which is much less stressful dogs who struggle with separation. We don't currently offer boarding without training because we prefer to offer a personalised service to each dog who stays for board-and-train. In some cases, after completing a board-and-train stay, we may offer repeat boarding stays at a discounted rate, but this is not always guaranteed.

Training is more about teaching a dog new skills and helping them build better habits. Every dog is an individual, and while we don’t promise a quick fix or transformation, we do promise to give your dog the best possible training and care while they’re with us.

We’ll keep you regularly updated on their progress so you know exactly how they’re doing. Once your dog goes home, we’ll guide you on how to continue the training so the results transfer smoothly back into your daily life. Long-term success depends on consistency and teamwork between us, your dog, and you.
